The Committee considered the petition and agreed to keep it open pending the discussion that is due to take place on the Agriculture (Wales) Bill in plenary on 7 February.

2.2   P-06-1315 Stop outsourcing at the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre for Wales

Jack Sargeant MS declared the following relevant interest under Standing Order 17.24A:

The petitioner is known to him.

The Committee considered the petition and noted the petitioner states in his correspondence that the outsourcing of Plas Menai to Legacy Leisure took effect from 1 February and he understands the Committee are unable to do any more work on the issue.

In light of this Members agreed to close the petition and thank the petitioner for raising awareness of the issue.

The Committee considered the petition and given the Government’s clear and firm position to continue to refer to our nation in both its official languages Members agreed to close the petition and thank the petitioner.

Luke Fletcher MS declared the following relevant interest under Standing Order 17.24A:

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to keep it open until the final budget and Local Government settlement is published.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to await the  Welsh Government’s initial response on the petition and Cardiff Council's public consultation report.

The Chair also noted a similar petition on the issue that was launched on the Change.org website and collected 21,790 signatures.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to the Minister for Climate Change with a number of questions that have arisen from the Committee’s recent engagement on the issue.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to keep it open pending the Ministerial Advisory Group meeting which is due to take place in March/April this year, and ask the Welsh Government for an update following this.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to the Deputy Minister for Social Services and seek her views on the report published by Epilepsy Action Cymru.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to keep the petition open and reconsider it when the Women’s Health Plan is developed and published. Members also noted how inspirational the petitioner Beth Hales has been with her campaigning and engagement on this issue.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to revisit it when the Welsh Government's response to the Committee’s report and recommendations is received.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Social Services seeking an update on the Wales Cancer Network meeting which took place in January and to ask for further clarification on some key issues raise. The Committee also noted that the petitioner has inspired them as she fights for better support for others, like her, who develop metastatic breast cancer, despite her own health challenges.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write back to the Deputy Minister for Social Services asking what assessment has been made of the most recent Childcare Sufficiency Assessments, and what do they reveal about the state of childcare provision in Wales.
